Spa Policies and Etiquette

Appointments: Due to the popularity of our services, we highly recommend that you schedule an appointment in advance. A Visa or Mastercard number or valid gift certificate that covers the full service cost is required to reserve services of $50 or more. Appointments may be made online.

Arrivals: Please arrive 1-15 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow for a stress-free check-in. We regret that late arrivals may not receive an extension of service time and will be responsible for the full service fee.

Getting acquainted: Upon arrival and prior to your treatment, request a tour of the spa, which will acquaint you with your surroundings and introduce you to the spa facilities.All aspects of treatment can be modified to your taste: amount of light, music selection and volume, room temperature, talking or no talking. If you would like for the pressure of your massage to be adjusted, let your therapist know. Also, feel free to ask questions. If any part of your experience is unsatisfactory, first tell the therapist. If the response isn't helpful, speak to a manager or the owner of the spa, if available.

Cancellation Policy: Since our priority is to provide personal services to our clients, no-shows and cancellations affect our staff and our other clients greatly. We request a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellation of a single service, 48 hours for package bookings and 72 hours for group bookings and for all services scheduled during Master's Week. Cancellations occurring after the required times listed will result in a 50 percent charge of the total price of services scheduled and 100 percent in the event of a no-show.

Cell Phones and Pagers: As a courtesy to other guests, and to maintain an atmosphere of relaxation, we ask that all cell phones and pagers be turned off while you are in our facility.

Gratuities: Gratuities are graciously accepted. Gratuities are not included in the listed menu price of any of our services or packages. Leaving 15 to 20 percent is customary. Tips should be left at the reception desk, which will have gratuity envelopes and pass them along to the therapist. Received services from more than one therapist? Leave a separate tip for each one. Also, more often than not, spa staff appreciates when the gratuity is left in cash.

Gift Certificates: A gift certificate from Aqua Salon and Spa Augustamakes a perfect gift for any occasion. Gift certificates are available for any single service, any listed or customized package or any monetary amount. They can be applied toward other services of equal or lesser value or for the purchase of retail products or merchandise. A price difference can be paid for any upgrades on services.

Male or female therapist? It's up to you.We make every effort to accommodate guest wishes in this regard. Keep in mind that at peak hours, it may be harder to fulfil your request, and that for less-requested treatments, we may have only one therapist available. Remember to book in advance; if you are a fan of a particular therapist, chances are someone else is
